Write for us

Stellar Policy Journal welcomes clear, original pitches that help readers understand a public policy idea or choice. Send proposals through the Contact page; an idea is not a commission until agreed.

What to pitch

We consider explainers, comparisons, histories of policy concepts, close readings of public arguments and pieces that clarify how an institution or policy tool is meant to work. A useful pitch has one central question, a defined reader benefit and a subject that can be handled without professional advice.

What makes a strong proposal

Tell us the working title, the main point, why the subject is worth a reader's time and how you would support factual claims. Say what is distinctive about your approach, identify any relevant interests or relationships, and keep the proposal focused rather than sending a finished essay without context.

Sending a pitch

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then say clearly that your message is a contribution proposal. Do not include confidential material or assume that sending a pitch means it has been accepted.
